At BBC International we believe in giving back and getting involved in our community. As leaders in the footwear industry, we want to continue to encourage each other to provide help throughout the world, local areas, and within our own community inside BBC.
Shoes For A Cure
The BBC New York office volunteered shoe sale set-up; a lot of unpacking of boxes from pallets, and stocking and organizing on the sale floor.
Shoes for a Cure is the largest fundraising event of the shoe industry. It was an inspired call-to-action of FFANY and co-founders Jodi and Jerome Fisher to join the generosity of the shoe industry alongside compassionate customers to raise funds to find a cure for breast cancer.
Feeding South Florida
BBC Boca volunteers helped sort through donated food and ensured that it is safe to go back to the community. Our team was able to sort a total of 2,590 lbs. of food, which equals 2,150 meals!
Feeding South Florida serves 25% of the state’s food insecure population within South Florida. There mission is to provide immediate access to nutritious food, leading hunger and poverty advocacy efforts and transforming lives through innovative programming and education.

Boca Helping Hands
BBC colleagues visited Boca Helping Hands to help arrange and deliver pantry bags to the organization’s clients. Boca Helping Hands is a community-based nonprofit that provides food, medical, financial assistance to meet the basic human needs as well as education, job training and guidance to help people build independence.
Eliminating Hunger
In April 22, BBC Boca took part in a very unique program to eliminate hunger spearheaded by CROS Ministries. In the fields of Boynton Beach, FL, BBC Boca picked and gathered 3,055 pounds of tomatoes and 2,996 pounds of cucumbers. Produce went to St. Luke’s UM Church which put the boxes together with staple food items and then gave them to the Maxey Elementary School in the Orlando area.
Cradles tp Crayons Volunteer 22
BBC Braintree Office volunteered at Cradles to Crayons’ Giving Factory Warehouse. Cradles to Crayon engages and connects with the community by providing children from birth to 12 years of age living in homeless or low-income situations with all the essential items needed to thrive at home, school, and play.They processed donated clothing, shoes, books, school supplies, hygiene items, and much more by sorting and creating KidPacks per child’s request.
South Florida Children In Need
In Jacob’s Shoes is a public Charity Formed in loving memory of Jacob S. Zweig. They have provided over 70,000 pairs of new and refurbished shoes (among other things) for children in need living in South Florida. They believe in providing Children in need the opportunity to walk with pride and go to school prepared and with dignity. BBC Volunteers assisted with collecting, sorting, cleaning and restoring the gently worn shoes to pristine condition at their warehouse in Margate.
Two Ten and Cradles to Crayons
The BBC Boston office teamed up with Two Ten’s Footwear Cares group to volunteer at the Cradles to Crayon event. Cradles to Crayons is a non-profit organization that provides homeless and low-income children living in Boston, Massachusetts, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Chicago, Illinois with the essentials they require to thrive – to feel safe, warm, ready to learn, and valued.
